DWCCA Appointment Request and Scheduling Policy

Date of Policy March 14, 2024

At Diabetes and Wound Care Centers of America, we are committed to providing quality healthcare services while ensuring an efficient and fair scheduling process for all patients. Please read our appointment request and scheduling policy carefully before booking an appointment.

Scheduling Appointments

Appointments can be requested through our website, by phone, by email, or in person during business hours. Patients are encouraged to book in advance to secure their preferred date and time. Same-day or urgent appointments may be available but are subject to availability.

Appointment Confirmation and Reminders

Once an appointment request is submitted, our staff will contact you to confirm the date, time, and provider availability. Patients will receive appointment reminders via phone, email, or text message. Please ensure that your contact information is up to date.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 24 hours’ notice, except in the case of emergency. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee. Repeated missed appointments without notice may require prepayment for future visits or may impact your ability to schedule appointments at our clinic.

Late Arrival Policy

Patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule their appointment or wait until the next available opening. Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment time to accommodate other scheduled patients.

No-Show Policy

A missed appointment without prior cancellation (no-show) disrupts clinic operations and limits access for other patients. Multiple no-shows may lead to restrictions on future appointment scheduling.

Insurance and Payment

Patients are responsible for verifying insurance coverage before their appointment. Co-pays, deductibles, or self-pay fees must be paid at the time of service. If you have any billing or payment concerns, please contact our office before your visit.

Emergency and Walk-In Appointments

Our DWCCA clinics do not provide emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room. Walk-in visits may be accommodated based on provider availability, but scheduled appointments take priority.

By scheduling an appointment with our DWCCA clinic, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our clinic or corporate office.
